Because the 6.0L injector cups are made of hard steel and tend to be difficult to tap we have found this to be a significant consideration. Our sleeve installation tool features an o-ring to retain the injector sleeve to the installer. This prevents the frustration of having the injector sleeve continually dropping off the end of the tool. IMPORTANT NOTE: It is commonly misconceived that injector cup failure can cause the common 6.0L concern of diesel fuel being found in the engine's coolant. Diesel fuel in the coolant on a 6.0L is almost universally caused by a crack in the injector bore of the cylinder head ABOVE the injector sleeve.
